Patriarchal System - What is the Victim/Perpetrator pattern?
I was watching a post the other day and the person I was watching mentioned how upside down this world is. I agree. I feel like understanding ourselves, our relationships and what is happening on this planet is in all of us and it is our responsibility to heal ourselves so that we may walk in love, light, beauty and understanding (with so many other things).
Within us all there is a victim/perpetrator pattern that is prevalent. If you don’t think so, I invite you to look at our system of government, our society and just see what is happening in the world. The pattern of Victim/Perpetrator is someone that is controlling someone else in whatever way that may be, emotional, mental, physical and even spiritual and as a result the victim may, from a place of resentment, perpetrate. They can do that with thoughts, prayers, curses or any number of unloving and fearful things. Now this can be with any gender and I have also experienced this with animals, especially those wounded in their lives now or past lives.
From the beginning of my spiritual awakening I have always worked on this victim state of consciousness and when I was ready, I was shown the perpetrator side of me. The depths to which we are playing out this dynamic goes back as far as lifetimes, ancestral patterning, curses/implants, and, for me, continued on at birth during this lifetime. It is a deep unraveling of how we are today as a human society. It’s been playing out since time immemorial.
Turn on the news, look at movies, how could we possibly become normalized to killing. How can we possibly be normalized to trafficking, isn’t that the same as slavery - with of course, sexual controlling? How could we possibly be okay with controlling one another. There is always an emotional component to how we are behaving. If we were all confident, grounded in strong moral values, spiritually mature, emotionally/mentally/physically/spiritually balanced, we would not have the problems that we are having.
The one thing that I am sure of is that if it is love, we wouldn’t have to do any of those things above. This is all fear speaking. The fear is in all of us until we look at it, and let it go or heal it. And, when we look at it, it isn’t always just letting it go, there is spiritual growth that needs to happen so that we can see how it started and how to change it to love. The responsibility is within ourselves. We are fully capable and we are guided by our team of spiritual guides, by the Divine and by our Souls. Our Soul’s intuition is the way to our healing, the way to our purpose, the way to the light, the way to love. The way to making living on this planet better.
Sometimes we feel the Divine Wrath, or the Sacred Anger. This is the Divine righteousness of what was done was wrong. It was absolutely wrong, but we need to go through it to feel it. To understand the rules of heaven. To understand that it isn’t right to treat each other, and any other Sentient Being with such fear. The light shows us what we are doing is wrong. Love shows us that we can heal in love. From our deepest Soul we are essentially love and light. So how do we get to the point that we can feel, see, and know that we are love? We have to trust our spiritual team, we need to trust our inner light, we need to learn how to trust ourselves and we do that through our emotions, which is one way. This takes learning and understanding of one’s Self and the tools to heal.
We need to be discerning of who we work with, and understand that only love and light will guide us to love and light. And for whatever isn’t love and light has yet to be brought from the shadow to the light and healed in love. All in Divine timing.
Our emotions are a critical component to growth, understanding, knowing, and to maturity. In my experience, when I started this journey, I felt like it was a predestined time that I was meant to awaken. I also felt that there were all these quirks and behaviours that I had that I didn’t understand and couldn’t change on my own. The spiritual awakening gave me and continues to give me spiritual maturity, growth, love, light, understanding, and I have come to know what unconditional love is. In all vulnerability I would say that I had a unique journey on this path of awakening in that I was heavily ladened down with negativity, darkness, resentment, fear, and most of all anger. This anger was explained and deep that came from other lifetimes also. It has only been with the spiritual awakening that I have learned that it wasn’t all mine, it isn’t personal, and what has been caused by me was as a result of what happened to me. But that doesn’t give me a ticket to get out of jail free card, it is accepting responsibility for what I have done whether something was done to me or not. It is the part of us that we must see for ourselves if we are to heal. We need to absolutely assume responsibility. I can give you just one glaring example in our society of victim shaming rape victims. This is an absolute lack of assuming responsibility for the perpetrator in what they are doing to victimize someone else. There are many more examples but this is a clear glaringly obvious behaviour happening in our society right now.
What I can say about all of this is that it doesn’t matter if it is in this lifetime, or our past lives, or done by someone in our family lineage, there is no excuse for fearful behaviour of controlling someone else, because you don’t feel comfortable, or in control in our own lives - OR OUR OWN EMOTIONS. There is no excuse. God will make it glaringly clear where you need to make amends. Even in spiritual healing with the ancestors, it is our obligation to pray that they admonish their behaviour. And provide right actions no matter what, and our Divine Wrath, is a clear indication that it is not right! This is God’s law.
Amen
My prayer for you is that you can see the pattern within you, hold yourself with the unconditional love that God’s love has for you, and if you can’t rely on yourself at that moment, call on your unconditionally loving spiritual guides or God or whatever works for you and ask for a lift in love and light. Ask for them to show you unconditional love. Ask them to give you the courage to look at all aspects of yourself so that you may understand yourself, let go of judgment and see what God actually sees in you. You are love and light, you just need to let go and heal the things that aren’t. Believe it!!!! I can tell you that in my darkest of moments, I was told that I was unconditionally loved, I wasn’t able to receive it but it was something that I believed. So I altered my prayer to “God, you told me I was unconditionally loved, please open me to receive and feel it, thank you in all faith.”
With love and light,
Jackie
